Shawn Sloan is an artist, rock climber, and backpacker living in Emeryville, CA.
Shawn recently completed a 30 day wilderness first responder course through the National Outdoor Leadership School in Wyoming. He spent 28 days in the remote Absaroka Wilderness learning wilderness medicine and how to safely lead groups through remote wilderness areas.
When not making work in his studio, Shawn can be found rock climbing in Yosemite Valley, fly fishing at pristine high alpine lakes, or attempting to summit a peak in a remote section of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. His work is inspired by his adventures traveling in the outdoors.
